    The Hermosa Valley section is an excellent option in Hermosa Beach to find a range of ocean view homes at better prices and large estates with more elbow room than in the sand. Valley area homes are mere minutes to the beach and conveniently located close to local shopping and restaurants in the downtown Hermosa Beach area and on the East end of Pier Avenue and PCH where it is bordered. Many homes here perch high enough on the hill for wonderful views from Palos Verdes to Malibu; while those below overlook the delightful Green Belt, a walking path full of trees, flowers, and butterflies. Homes are made up of a variety of single family homes, condos, and town-homes, ranging from the mid-century to brand new construction. Naturally, when moving away from the beach, the lots get a bit larger ranging from 2,500 to 7,500 square feet plus often with ocean views and a yard. Niche micro-neighborhoods where streets like Marlita, Tennyson, and El Oeste are found, homes can range from 9,000 to 20,000 on some of the rare lots. Here stunning compounds boast spectacular vistas, private pools, game rooms and more. Hermosa Valley is bordered by Manhattan Beach, Pacific Coast Highway, Redondo Beach and Ardmore Avenue. Prices generally range from $700k – $2 million, however there have been a handful of home sales of $4 million plus since 2013, equating to some of the best pricing near the beach. Nearby, a skateboard park and tennis courts add to this community’s opportunity for a healthy lifestyle; while the Community Center nurtures the cultural side. The Hermosa Beach Community Theatre is a charming venue featuring cultural arts events, musical theatre groups, film premieres, and dance productions. Kids in this section, like all of Hermosa kids, attend Hermosa View for K-2, Hermosa Valley for 3-8th, and choose from either Mira Costa in Manhattan Beach or Redondo Union in Redondo Beach for High School
